Road trip to Newrybar: Last Night in Paradise

Travelling from Pambula to Bairnsdale is pretty boring. After the stretch of interesting towns it was a bit of a let down to be faced with endless nature surrounded highways… but we managed.

Our stay at the Old School B&B was a little more in the middle of nowhere than we expected. We may or may not have accidentally passed the turn off around three times… When we arrived though, we were taken for a quirky tour by our hostess through the renovated school house.

We decided to head into Stratford Upon Avon for a late lunch and stumbled upon a nice wine bar. The weather happened to be perfect so we parked ourselves in the ivy covered courtyard. Eli danced to the music and we ordered gourmet pizza and wine. Hudson slept blissfully throughout the whole thing.

We stopped in at the local grocer, then headed back to the apartment. Given our plans to leave early the next morning, we decided to have bacon and eggs for dinner by candlelight. It was odd but a fitting ending to our whirlwind trip!

Road trip to Newrybar: Meet the Grandparents

With an early morning start and a trek through McDonald’s drive through, we were on our way to Baba and Deda’s house. While Hudson seemed content to sleep through much of the trip, Eli was a different story! It seemed that every fifteen minutes he needed a change of activity… The […]
